President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

The Head of State noted that within just two days, over $1 billion has already been allocated by the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark for the purchase of U.S. weapons under the PURL initiative. The President thanked Mark Rutte for his personal involvement and the swift implementation of decisions adopted during the NATO Summit in The Hague.

The NATO Secretary General also informed the President about ongoing work with other NATO member states that are ready to join the initiative.

President Zelenskyy provided an update on the situation in Kharkiv and other Ukrainian cities suffering from brutal Russian attacks, as well as on the frontline and the needs of Ukrainian defenders.

Special attention during the conversation was given to diplomatic efforts with international partners aimed at further strengthening support for Ukraine.
