The President spoke to the Ecumenical Patriarch about Ukraine’s joint efforts with its partners to achieve peace, including contacts with the American side.
The Head of State also briefed him on the situation in Ukraine and the constant Russian strikes on our energy infrastructure and everything that keeps people's lives running normally.
During the meeting, they discussed the humanitarian operation in temporarily occupied Oleshky, from which people were successfully rescued. The President emphasized that this was a very important result. Ukraine hopes the world will continue to pressure Russia so that such de-escalation steps can be expanded.
