President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with President of Romania Nicușor Dan.

The heads of state coordinated their next joint diplomatic steps and discussed preparations for tomorrow’s contacts with other leaders.

The President of Ukraine thanked Nicușor Dan and all EU leaders for today’s statement of clear support for Ukraine’s independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty. Our country and its partners are united in the view that the first step toward a just peace must be a ceasefire.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that at this moment everything depends on the determination of U.S. President Donald Trump and the unity of Europe. If Russia is not ready to stop the killings, then sanctions must be imposed to compel it to do so.

The Head of State also thanked Romania for supporting the synchronized and joint advancement of Ukraine and Moldova toward EU membership.

The presidents agreed on a schedule of contacts for the near future. The teams of the heads of state are working on the details.
