Ukrainian diplomats must work with partners to deliver concrete results that strengthen the front and our defense technology. Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Budanov stated this during the meeting of heads of Ukraine’s foreign diplomatic missions, “Restoring Peace and Ukraine’s Leadership.”

He stressed that diplomats must demonstrate concrete results that translate into important decisions by partner countries, international contracts, and investment.

“Ukraine’s place in shaping future security and stability depends directly on your work in the countries where you serve,” Kyrylo Budanov noted.

The Head of the Office of the President emphasized that the primary task of every Ukrainian diplomatic mission remains engagement with partners to strengthen Ukraine’s defense, particularly its air defense.

Kyrylo Budanov is convinced that Ukrainian diplomats must advance proposals for joint defense production and the localization of defense industry enterprises.

According to him, Ukraine needs not just support from its key partners, but the integration of defense technologies and chains through joint production and long-term security alliances. It is important to attract foreign investment to the real economy and the defense-industrial complex, with production localized in Ukraine.

“The President has repeatedly emphasized this, and agreements are being concluded. We are building a new economy based both on high technology and on transparent European quality standards,” the Head of the Office of the President noted.

Kyrylo Budanov stressed that the Global South, particularly African countries, must become an important focus of Ukrainian diplomacy.

“For years, the Russian Federation has traded there in disinformation, grain blackmail, and mercenaries. But this influence is highly vulnerable, as our recent history has shown,” the Head of the Office of the President noted.

According to him, Ukraine must remind African countries that it is our country that supplies them with vital agricultural products. Kyrylo Budanov emphasized that key areas of cooperation with African countries include security, mine clearance, counterterrorism, exports of agricultural products and technology, and education, including attracting students to study in Ukraine.
