1. Crimean Tatar Activist Dies after Search by Russian Agents.
November 23, 2017 will be a black day for Crimean Tatar people. They lost a brave woman, Vedzhie Kashka, who became a symbol of the struggle to return to Crimea.
Vedzhie Kashka all her life actively advocated for the Crimean Tatars’ rights and until her last days participated in protests and rallies, supported the political prisoners’ families and visited the court hearings. She is a fearless woman and due to her people got their right to live in their homeland.
When detaining the Crimean Tatars by Russian security officers in illegally annexed Crimea, the national movement veteran Vedzhie Kashka felt bad. On her way to the hospital Vedzhie Kashka died of a heart attack.
2. Actual situation in the eastern part of Ukraine.
The situation in the Eastern part of Ukraine has remained restless.
Russia-backed militants increase the number of attacks by 80 percent.
Russian-backed militants has violated the agreements regarding the regimes of ceasefire, using 120-mm mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms.
In mentioned time period militants were shelling Ukrainian troops’ positions in Maryinka, Shyrokyne, Avdiivka, Zaitseve, Zaitseve Svitlodarsk, Zolote, Novoluhanske, Krymske, Lozove and Troitske Taramchuk, Maryinka, Novotroitske and Starohnativka of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
As a result, 5 Ukrainian servicemen were killed and 18 wounded.
For all shelling Ukrainian troops responded with fire from weapons allowed under Minsk agreements.
